Texas football tickets 2024: Where to buy seats for all Longhorns home and away games (2024)

AUSTIN, Tex. – After a berth in the College Football Playoffs last year, the Texas Longhorns return to the field for another crack at a national championship. Tickets for all 2024 home and away games are available now on major third-party sites.

Entering their first year in the Southeastern Conference, the Longhorns’ schedule is dripping with heavyweight encounters, highlighted by a second week road matchup against the defending champion Michigan Wolverines on Sept. 7 and a home game versus national powerhouse Georgia on Oct. 19.

A week prior is the annual Red River Rivalry against the Oklahoma Sooners on Oct. 12 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas.

Texas will open the 2024 campaign at home against the Colorado State Rams on Aug. 31. They will have at least two night games in a row when they host the UTSA Roadrunners on Sept. 14 and Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks on Sept. 21.

The Longhorns will close out the regular season slate with SEC matchups against Florida, Arkansas and Texas A&M.

Whether it’s at Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium, or on the road in hostile territory, don’t miss your chance to see the Longhorns live.

As of June 25, the cheapest overall seats I found are $24 from StubHub and Vivid Seats for the Week 4 matchup against Louisiana-Monroe.

The cheapest seat for the Red River Rivalry is $369 from Vivid Seats. They also offer the cheapest road matchup at $136 against Vanderbilt.

Texas Longhorns 2024 preview

Under head coach Steve Sarkisian’s vision, Texas continued its climb up the college football ladder in the 2023 season with a Big 12 championship and berth in the College Football Playoffs before falling in a thriller to national runner-up Washington.

Offense

The Longhorns will welcome back a bevy of playmakers, including third-year star quarterback Quinn Ewers, who is backed up by prodigy Arch Manning.

In his two seasons as a starter, Ewers has thrown for over 5,600 yards and 37 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

Manning, nephew of NFL greats Peyton and Eli Manning, remains waiting in the wings after becoming one of the most coveted recruits in high school football history. He put on a show in the spring game, a glimpse into the future of Texas football.

Quarterback Malik Murphy has departed, setting up the third string for freshman Trey Owens, who impressed at the spring game. He likely won’t see much time this season, but you never know.

The offense has the potential to be one of the most explosive in the country. That’s even after Texas lost the receiving core of Ja’Tavion Sanders, Xavier Worthy, Adonai Mitchell and Jordan Whittington to the NFL Draft. The Longhorns top running back Johnathan Brooks also was selected.

They filled those holes with portal hauls, including receivers Isaiah Bond, Matthew Golden and promising tight end Amari Niblack. Ewers’ connection with that incoming core will be critical for the Longhorns to contend for not only an SEC title, but a national crown.

Rising sophom*ore CJ Baxter could take the reins at running back. He was the No. 1 ranked RB in the 2023 class, according to 247sports. Baxter garnered 815 yards and five touchdowns in a solid opening campaign.

Though his opportunities were limited most of the season, explosive junior Jaydon Blue gave glimpses of what he is capable of in 2023. Expect more of the same as he and Baxter battle for carries in the backfield.

With a main 1-2 punch, Tre Wisner could move from the special teams to RB3, spicing things up on occasions. Sensational true freshman Jerrick Gibson’s speed could propel him into that spot, or even further.

The offensive line is a top tier menace that will be holding its own as it collides with the hosses of the SEC. Anchoring four returning starters, 6-foot-4, 324-pound Kelvin Banks is a star who destined for a high first round selection in next year’s draft.

Hayden Connor, Jake Majors and DJ Campbell are also names to watch along the line. After not allowing a single pressure on 49 pass-blocking snaps, junior Cameron Brown is expected to move to right tackle after Christian Jones was selected in the NFL Draft.

Texas’ second-string line is no slouch, including Cole Hutson, Neto Umeozulu and Connor Robertson.

Defense

The defense is a question mark after the Longhorns graduated a pair of All-Americans to the NFL with T’Vondre Sweat and Byron Murphy II both having their names called on draft night. The position coaches will also take an overhaul as Kenny Baker and new co-defensive coordinator Johnny Nansen take control.

Veterans Alfred Collins and Vernon Broughton are back, joining Arizona transfer Tiaoalli Savea. Those three seniors could be a breakout core that helps carry over a dominant run defense.

Redshirt sophom*ore Jaray Bledsoe and Aaron Bryant will likely get their chances. The massive addition of 6-foot-6, 372-pound redshirt freshman Sydir Mitchell is worth watching.

Recruiting

Continuing their elite recruiting, Texas signed the No. 5 class in 2024 per 247Sports’ rankings. The Longhorns hauled in two five-stars and nine four-stars.

The schedule is filled with SEC landmines, a defending national champion and a rivalry renewed. Buckle up, Longhorns fans.
