Odds are you have heard or thought about the benefits of going paper free. It’s pretty straight forward; you save money, the planet, and it’s better for your body as well!

If you’ve continued to think about going paper free then you’ve probably also thought about all the ways you could switch to reusable products like switching to cloth napkins.

However, sometimes we just want someone to point us to nice options to buy. Yes, there are the crafty types out there who can sew their own cloth napkins and make their own unpaper towels but not everyone can or likes to sew and some of us just don’t have the time!

What’s a natural person to do? Well… we can buy. Sure buying new isn’t the most eco-friendly way to go but in the big picture it’s still 100 times better than buy disposable paper products month after month!

Here are some great reusable products to help you go paper free!

Products to Help You Go Paper Free - The Pistachio Project (1)

Paper Free Kitchen

Reusable Coffee Filters

Did you know there was such a thing as reusable coffee filters! They exist! Of course, you’ll need to make sure they work for your coffee maker.

Reusable Tea Bags

Looking for reusable tea bags? These are great. They are a bit bigger than tea bags as they can hold up to 1/4-1/2 cup of loose leaf tea but that just makes them more versatile in my opinion!

Cloth Napkins

You’ll add a bit of class to your home when you switch to cloth napkins and you’ll also save money while reducing waste! What’s not to love about cloth napkins?

Reusable Paper Towels

You’ve got three options when it comes to replacing paper towels. 1) Just use towels. 2) These limited reusable paper towel replacements which can be reused up to 100 times. 3) Unpaper Towels which are the cloth version of paper towels.

Real Dishware

Is this really a shocking suggestion? Actual dishes is the easiest alternative to paper plates. At home that should be a breeze but when camping, road trips, picnics it can be a bit more troublesome, in which case there are silicone, wood, or stainless steel plates.

Paper Free Bathroom

Family Cloth aka Reusable Toilet Paper

Yes, it sounds a bit crazy at first but “family cloth” is not as weird as you might think. This company is great for family cloth. We’ve also used these family cloth wipes for baby wipes as well. These really are the nicest looking family cloth (or toilet cloth if you prefer) that I’ve seen!

Handkerchiefs

This should not come as a surprise but long before there was kleenex there were handkerchiefs. Go “old school” and break out those hankies!

Reusable Facial Rounds

Do you go through tons of cotton balls or makeup removers each night? Make the switch to reusable facial rounds. No more waste and they feel so much nicer than those scratchy cotton balls.

Mama Cloth aka Reusable Feminine Pads

You won’t believe how much waste is produced by feminine pads each year! So what’s the alternative? Mama Cloth (which is deceptive since non-moms can obviously use them as well!) They have a wide range of sizes and absorbencies and their patterns are lovely!

MenstrualCups

I know it takes a bit to wrap your head around the idea of using a reusable menstrual cup instead of tampons ladies but seriously, I love my Sckoon Cup!

Paper Free Nursery

Cloth Baby Wipes

I’ll be honest, I prefer my homemade cloth wipes to any brand that I’ve tried. It’s just one of those things where everyone has their own opinion on what makes a good cloth wipe and therefore all recommendations are going to vary greatly. However if you aren’t the DIY type, Amazon has a great selection of cloth wipes.

Cloth Diapers

Okay there are hundreds of cloth diapers that you could choose from. Ask ten cloth diaper mamas and you’ll get a different opinion from each one! But I’ll leave you with a few of the popular brands, such as GroVia (my personal favorite), bumGenius, Thirsties, and Fuzzibunz.

Reusable Nursing Pads

Mamas if you are breastfeeding and you need nursing pads to make sure you don’t leak… opt for reusable nursing pads. You’ll save money and they just feel softer!
