You smiled, "I fought with the intent to kill, indeed, he was just that strong." You hadn't lied to them, technically. Your desire was there, you just didn't aim for his neck. "Anyways, when I asked him why he didn't attack, he told me I didn't seem like the kind to get scared of stronger opponents."
"He's not wrong!" Kyojuro shouted proudly from his spot across from you.
A light chuckled left your lips before you began again, "I told him the truth, about my ancestors crying for him not to be slain. I remember very clearly a name being repeated. Michikatsu. When I said it out loud, he gripped his sword, so I figured it was his human name... that's when I figured it out. He's the twin brother... of the original breath user, the one in which all other breaths derived from. My direct ancestor." This seemed to stink some of your comrades, but you continued since it was a long story. "I told him I know not the original breath, nor do I believe I can use it in battle. I did tell him, though, that I possess three breaths, two of which are direct derivatives, and he told me not to get co*cky, basically."

Amane nodded along, listening tentatively for anything that doesn't sound accurate to what the crow had reported while you slept. "Do you know why he wants you dead or alive?"

"(Y/N)-san?" Mitsuri questioned touching your back slightly.
You shivered remembering the night you brutally injured the demon on that mountain while meditating. "I do. It was something my mother told me when I was sent to the land of the dead during the fight with Upper Moon 6."
The pillars looked at you suspiciously, why hadn't you told them, you had plenty of time to do so. "Would you mind telling us?" Amane spoke understandingly. She was a kind woman who was strict and disciplined.
You nodded with a bright smile no one had seen on your face for days. "Would you like to hear the story my mother told me, and that I told Michikatsu-san?" The woman gave a nod.
"Wait, I want to know why you waited this long before telling us anything. Of you knew Muzan wanted you, then why didn't you tell us why? It's been a mystery for years!" Obanai raised his voice.
"My mother told me to not tell, unless I completely trusted someone. And although, I trust each of you with my life, and the lives of others, what I'm going to say is information that should not be taken lightly. It could mean the end of the battle against Muzan."
That struck a nerve for Sanemi, "THEN WHY DID YOU TELL A DEMON, ASSHOLE?!"
You shrugged, "Yoriichi-san told me I could trust him."
"Who's this 'Yoriichi' tou speak of? It is the first time I've heard this name in your report." Amane spoke, trying to piece everything together on her own.
"Oh? Have I not? He's the original breath user, the very first one! He has a mark on his forehead, much like Tanjiro's. He also happens to be... the only man that ever came close to killing Muzan. That is why I trust him."
The woman gave a nod, "I trust you, (Y/N)-san, please continue."
"My mother told me,..." you told them the story that you had spoken of only once. To the demon everyone seemed to be against, everyone except his dear twin brother. "I have proof of this as well." You said after telling the story. "It happened before I became a demon slayer, I'm sure Kyojuro and Shinjuro-san remmeber the day clearly. Kyojuro had just come back from the final selection and I went out to the mountain to decide how to get stronger. I accidentally stayed to long that night-"
